This is a part-time, hybrid position (10–15 hours per week) based in Leland, NC. You'll support the daily operations of a small, busy publishing team — handling front and back-office tasks, keeping things organized, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.

It's a good fit for someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable wearing a few different hats in a fast-moving environment.

  • Answer and direct phone calls; greet visitors professionally
  • Handle data entry, filing, mail, and document organization
  • Assist with ad copy coordination for existing CMC clients
  • Schedule appointments and meetings for team members
  • Maintain office supplies and coordinate basic office logistics
  • Run errands and provide general administrative support as needed
  • Strong phone etiquette and professional communication skills
  • Experience with clerical tasks — scheduling, filing, data entry, document management
  • Comfortable with standard office equipment and software (Microsoft Office or Google Workspace)
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Reliable and punctual — this is an on-site role with hybrid flexibility
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Familiarity with publishing, advertising, or marketing is a plus but not required
